Description

Educational board game or educational simulation software — which provides the better learning experience?

The answer is: it depends. Simulation software can offer a highly realistic, personalized, and interactive learning experience. Simulation software programming and artificial intelligence enables any type of experience to be created. A board game, on the other hand, is much more limited in terms of what can be recreated. The experience is bound by the design of the game board, playing pieces, cards, and overall game play.

Where a board game has the advantage, however, is in the social power of group learning. Having a group of people sitting together (in the same room) interacting with each other and the game itself can be an effective motivator and educational experience.

With GoVenture, the choice is yours — software simulations, board game, card game, and more are available.
