Description

GoVenture Personal Finance is a comprehensive and highly realistic simulation. Similar to the "game of life" it allows you to get a job and use your salary to pay bills, buy cars, houses, and more. You can get married, have children, invest your money, and even gamble on the lottery!

As detailed as the full simulation is, there are several introductory exercises to get you started. These include the Life Plan, Net Worth, and Cash Flow exercises. These simple and visual activities help students learn by doing. The Life Plan allows them to consider and visually identify their life's financial goals and the money it will take to achieve them. The Net Worth activity allows them to enter their assets and liabilities to see if they are positive or negative. The Cash Flow activity allows them to enter all of their income sources and expenses in summary or detail format.

The program also includes average salaries for many jobs and average expenses for many common items providing students with a real-world perspective of money management.
